The Diagnostic Imaging Department at Hackettstown Medical Center offers state-of-the-art technology to meet all of your diagnostic imaging needs.
Utilizing high technology and having experienced and registered technologists means your doctors receive quality images for the most accurate diagnoses possible. Every image is read and interpreted by our on-site board certified radiologists.
Our radiology services include:
Computed Tomography (CT)-16 Scanner
The multi-detector, 16-slice CT takes detailed cross-sectional images in seconds. Hackettstown Medical Center's CT services are accredited by the American College of Radiology and our experienced technologists are registered and licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Bone Dexascan: Densitometry
To evaluate bone loss and the risk of osteoporosis, we offer a non-invasive, simple, low-dose bone density scan, which takes only a few seconds.
Hackettstown Medical Center provides high-tech, high-definition digital X-ray images that are available within seconds. All results are read by one of our on-site board certified radiologists.
We offer full-field digital mammography and have two board-certified radiologists on site, who read each mammogram independently to ensure the most accurate interpretations. Our services are accredited by the American College of Radiology and meet Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requirements.
3T Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
High-field 3T MRI utilizes the properties of magnetism to create cross-sectional images of the soft tissue of the body including the brain, spinal cord and joints. Our unit has a large opening to create the best possible patient experience, and a board-certified radiologist reads each MRI image.
We have two nuclear gamma cameras to perform an array of diagnostic nuclear studies, including one-day nuclear stress tests, hepatobiliary iminodiacetic acid scans and bone scans. Our dedicated cardiac stress lab shortens the imaging time to improve patient comfort.
Positron Emission Tomography (PET)/Computed Tomography (CT)
PET/CT combines conventional nuclear medicine and traditional CT technology to provide accurate images in the diagnosis of heart and brain abnormalities and cancer. It is also used in surgical planning, radiation therapy, cancer staging and cancer treatment assessments.
For more information about PET/CT or to schedule an appointment, please call 908-441-1560.
Ultrasound with 3D and 4D
Our 3D and 4D technology provides detailed images of various areas of the body, including the abdomen, breast and vascular system. It's also useful in fetal ultrasounds, allowing doctors to view the infant's heart and blood flow, hands, feet and face.
